[Main Ingredients] Iodine

[Description] This drug is of red-brown liquid.

[Pharmacological Action] This drug destroys the metabolism of pathogenic microorganisms and causes them to die by continuously releasing free iodine. It is a high-efficiency and low toxicity disinfectant, which has good killing effect on bacteria, viruses, and fungi.

[Function and Use] Disinfectant and antiseptic, for the disinfection of surgical site and skin and mucosa.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of povidone iodine. 5% solution for skin disinfection and treatment of skin diseases; 0.5%-1% solution for cow nipple soaking; 0.1% solution for mucosa and wound flushing.

[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.

[Precautions] (1) It is forbidden for iodine allergic animals.

(2) When the solution turns white or light yellow, it loses disinfection activity.

(3) It should not be compatible with mercury containing drugs.

[Withdrawal Period] It is not required.
