[Description] This drug is of colorless to faint yellow and slightly viscous transparent liquid.
[Pharmacological Action] As an anti-nematode drug, avermectin has a repelling rate of 94%-100% against pig roundworm, adult and immature Hyostrongylus rubidus, Strongyloides ransomi, Trichuris trichiura, Oesophagosto-mum, Metastrongylus elongatus, Stephanurus dentatus Diesing. In addition, it is very effective against Trichinella spiralis in the intestine (ineffective against Trichinella spiralis in the muscle), and also has a good control effect on Haematopinus suis and Sarcoptes suis. It is ineffective against trematodes and tapeworms. Moreover, avermectin, as an insecticide, has broad-spectrum activity against aquatic and agricultural insects, mites and fire ants.
[Drug Interaction] When this drug is used together with diethylcarbamazine, severe or fatal encephalopathy may occur.
[Function and Use] Antibiotic, for the treatment of nematodiasis, acariasis and parasitic insect diseases of livestock.
[Dosage and Administration] Pouring or rubbing: 0.1ml/time per 1kg of body weight for cattle and pigs, pouring from shoulder to back along the back midline. For dogs and rabbits, it is needed to rub the inside of both ears.
[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.
[Precautions] (1) It is forbidden to use this drug during lactation period.
(2) Avermectin is highly toxic and should be used with caution. It is highly toxic to shrimp, fish and aquatic organisms, and the packaging of residual drugs should not pollute the water source.
(3) This drug is unstable in nature, especially sensitive to light, and can be quickly oxidized and inactivated. Attention should be paid to the storage and use conditions.
