Trade name: Weishujia
English name: Vitamin B2 Injection

[Main Ingredients] Vitamin B2
[Description] This drug is of orange-yellow transparent liquid; prone to degradation upon exposure to light.
[Pharmacological Action] This drug constitutes a part of the flavoenzyme cofactor in the human body. It contributes to hydrogen transfer during biological oxidation-reduction reactions, is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids, and fats, and significantly affects the nutritional status of the central nervous system and the functionality of capillaries.
Within the intestinal cells, this drug is phosphorylated to form flavin mononucleotide, which is then transported through the bloodstream to the liver, where it is further metabolized into flavin adenine dinucleotide. The liver holds approximately one-third of the body’s vitamin B2 requirements, releasing it as needed.
A deficiency of this drug can disrupt biological oxidation processes and lead to metabolic issues. In chicks, this can present as distinctive symptoms such as curled toes, weak legs, and slow growth; during the laying period, there may be a decline in laying and hatching rates. In pigs, symptoms may include stiff leg muscles, cloudy eye lenses, diarrhea, rough skin, and a reduced appetite, with sows possibly experiencing premature births, embryonic deaths, and fetal deformities. Calves and lambs may display symptoms like cracked mouth and lip corners, loss of appetite, hair loss, and diarrhea.
[Drug Interaction] This drug has the potential to diminish the efficacy of antibiotics such as ampicillin, colistin, streptomycin, erythromycin, and tetracycline.
[Function and Use] Vitamin drug, for the treatment of vitamin B2 deficiency, such as in cases of stomatitis, dermatitis, and keratitis.
