[Description] This drug is of white emulsion.

[Pharmacological Action] Pharmacodynamics: Vitamin D₂ is a metabolic regulatory drug. It plays a crucial role in calcium and phosphorus metabolism as well as skeletal growth in young animals. Its primary physiological function is to promote the proper absorption of calcium and phosphorus in the intestine. The metabolic active substances of Vitamin D₂ regulate calcium reabsorption in renal tubules to maintain calcium levels in circulating blood, and support normal bone development.

[Drug Interaction] ①Long-term, high-dose use of liquid paraffin or neomycin can reduce the absorption of Vitamin D. ②Enzyme inducers such as phenobarbital can accelerate the metabolism of Vitamin D.

[Function and Use] Vitamin drug, for the treatment of individuals with calcium metabolism disorders caused by Vitamin D deficiency, such as osteomalacia and rickets, who are unable to take oral medications.

[Dosage and Administration] Shake well before use. Subcutaneous and intramuscular injection: 5-20ml/time for horses and cattle; 2-4ml/time for sheep and pigs; 0.5-1 ml/time for dogs.

[Adverse Reaction] (1) Excessive Vitamin D directly impacts calcium and phosphorus metabolism, leading to reduced bone calcification. This can result in ectopic calcification in soft tissues and cause symptoms such as cardiac arrhythmia and neurological dysfunction.

(2) Excessive Vitamin D can also indirectly interfere with the metabolism of other fat-soluble vitamins, such as Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and Vitamin K.

[Precautions] (1) Excessive Vitamin D can reduce bone calcification, and cause ectopic calcification in soft tissues. It also leads to symptoms such as cardiac arrhythmia and neurological dysfunction.

(2) At the time of using Vitamin D, it is important to supplement with calcium. In case of toxicity, both this drug and calcium supplements should be discontinued immediately.

[Withdrawal Period] It is not required.
