[Description] This drug is of yellow transparent liquid.
[Pharmacological Action] As an antibacterial drug, mequindox achieves its antibacterial effect by inhibiting the synthesis of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in the bacterial body. Due to its broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, it has a strong inhibitory effect on most bacteria. In addition, its effect on Gram negative bacteria is stronger than its effect on Gram positive bacteria, and its effect on porcine dysentery spirochetes is particularly prominent.
Intramuscular injection is helpful for absorption, and this drug can be distributed to various tissues throughout the body within 10 minutes after intramuscular injection in pigs. It is quickly eliminated in the body, with a half-life of about 2 hours.
[Function and Use] Antibacterial drug, for pig dysentery caused by treponema, and for bacterial enteritis.
[Dosage and Administration] Intramuscular injection: 0.4-1ml/time per 10kg of body weight for pigs.
[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.
[Precautions] If the dosage is 3-5 times higher than the clinical treatment dosage, or if used for a long time, it can cause toxic reactions and even death.
