[Main Ingredients] Sodium camphor sulfonate
[Description] This drug is of colorless or almost colorless transparent liquid.
[Pharmacological Action] Sodium camphor sulfonate is a kind of stimulants for the central nervous system. After injection, this drug reflexively excites the respiratory and vascular motor centers through local stimulation. After absorption, this drug can directly excite the medullary respiratory center. A large dose can also excite the cerebral cortex. Due to its cardiotonic effect, this drug can enhance myocardial contractility, increase output, and raise blood pressure.
[Function and Use] Central nervous system stimulant, for auxiliary treatment of heart weakness, respiratory depression, etc.
[Dosage and Administration] Intravenous, intramuscular, and subcutaneous injections: 10-20ml/time for horses and cattle; 2-10ml/time for sheep and pigs; 0.5-1ml/time for dogs.
[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.
[Precautions]
(1) If crystallization occurs, it can be dissolved by heating before use.
(2) It is prohibited from being used on livestock before slaughter.
(3) Excessive poisoning can be rescued by intravenous injection of chloral hydrate, magnesium sulfate, and 10% glucose injection.
