[Main Ingredients] Sulfamonomethoxine sodium, trimethoprim

[Description] This drug is of white powder.

[Pharmacological Action] Sulfanilamide antibacterial agent. Sulfamonomethoxine inhibits the synthesis of dihydrofolic acid by competing for the dihydrofolate synthetase, which ultimately blocks the synthesis of nucleic acid and prevents bacterial growth and reproduction; trimethoprim hinders the synthesis of nucleic acid in bacteria by inhibiting the dihydrofolate reductase and preventing the reduction of dihydrofolic acid to tetrahydrofolic acid. When sulfamonomethoxine is used with trimethoprim, it can double-block the metabolism of folic acid and produce a synergistic antibacterial action.

[Function and Use] Sulfanilamide antibacterial agent, for the treatment of infections caused by chicken-sensitive bacteria, such as respiratory tract and digestive tract infections and Coccidiosis and Leucocytozoonosis in chickens.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Mixed drinking: 1-2g per 1L of water for chickens, administered for 3-5 consecutive days.

[Adverse Reaction] Long-term use can damage the kidneys and nervous system and affect gaining weight. There is a possibility of sulfanilamide poisoning.

[Precautions] (1) It is prohibited to be used for layers in the laying period.

(2) Consecutive administration should not exceed one week.

[Withdrawal Period] 28 days for chickens
