[Main Ingredients] Amoxicillin and potassium clavulanate

[Description] This drug is of white or off-white powder.

[Pharmacological Action] Amoxicillin belongs to the β-lactam antibiotics, with a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect. Due to its similar antibacterial spectrum and activity to ampicillin, and slightly weaker antibacterial activity against most Gram positive bacteria than penicillin, as well as sensitivity to penicillinase, it is ineffective against penicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus. It has a strong effect on Gram negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Proteus, salmonella, haemophilus, Brucella, and pasteurella, but these bacteria are prone to developing drug resistance. In addition, it is insensitive to pseudomonas aeruginosa. Due to its better absorption in monogastric animals than ampicillin and higher blood drug concentration, it has a better therapeutic effect on systemic infections. This drug is suitable for systemic infections of the respiratory system, urinary system, skin, and soft tissues caused by sensitive bacteria.

Amoxicillin is quite stable to gastric acid, with 74%-92% absorption after oral administration in monogastric animals.

[Drug Interaction] ① This drug, when used together with aminoglycosides, can increase the concentration of aminoglycosides in the bacterial body, exhibiting a synergistic effect. ② Rapid bacteriostatic agents such as macrolides, tetracyclines, and amide alcohols have interfering effects on the bactericidal activity of this drug, so this drug is inappropriate to be used together with them.

[Function and Use] β-lactam antibiotics, for infections caused by penicillin sensitive bacteria in chickens.

[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Mixed drinking: per 1L of water, 0.5g for chickens. Twice a day, administered for 3-7 consecutive days.

[Adverse Reaction] No adverse reactions have been observed with the proper use of the recommended dosage and administration.

[Precautions] (1) It is prohibited in the egg laying period for laying hens.

(2) Due to the instability of the aqueous solution of this drug, it should be prepared and used immediately.

[Withdrawal Period] 7 days for chickens.
