[Description] This drug is of white or off-white powder.
[Pharmacological Action] Pharmacodynamics: Kitasamycin is a macrolide antibacterial drug. Its antibacterial spectrum is similar to that of erythromycin, and its mechanism of action is the same as that of erythromycin. Sensitive Gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium putrefaciens, Clostridium emphysematous, etc. sensitive Gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria meningitidis, Pasteurella, etc. In addition, it also has a good effect on mycoplasma. The antibacterial effect on most Gram-positive bacteria is slightly inferior to erythromycin, the antibacterial effect on mycoplasma is similar to tylosin, and it is also effective on some Gram-negative bacteria, rickettsia and spirochetes, and the effect on drug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus is better than erythromycin and tetracycline.
Pharmacokinetics: Oral administration results in good absorption, reaching peak plasma concentration within 2 hours. The drug is widely distributed throughout major organs, with higher concentrations found in liver, lung, kidney, and muscle tissues, often exceeding blood levels. Excretion primarily occurs via the hepatobiliary system, with high concentrations in bile and feces. A small amount is excreted through the kidneys.
[Drug Interaction] (1) It is inappropriate to be used simultaneously with other macrolides, lincosamides, and amide alcohols due to the same target site of action.
(2) When used together with β-lactams, it exhibits an antagonistic effect.
[Function and Use] Macrolide antibiotic, primarily for the treatment of infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasmas, etc.
[Dosage and Administration] On the basis of this drug. Mixed drinking: 2.5-5g per 1L of water for chickens, administered for 3-5 consecutive days.
