[Veterinary Drug Name]
Generic name: Tylosin Tartrate Soluble Powder
Trade name:
English name: Tylosin Tartrate Soluble Powder
Pinyin: Jiushisuan Tailejunsu Kerongxingfen
[Main Ingredients] Tylosin
[Description] This drug is of white to pale yellow powder.
[Pharmacological Action] Pharmacodynamics: Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic specifically used in animals and exhibits strong activity against mycoplasma. Its antibacterial spectrum is similar to erythromycin, including sensitive Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), Streptococcus pneumoniae, Streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium perfringens, and Clostridium emphysematous. Sensitive Gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus, Neisseria meningitidis, and Pasteurella. Bacteria can develop resistance to this drug, and there is partial cross-resistance between Staphylococcus aureus and erythromycin.
Pharmacokinetics: Tylosin is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration, whereas tylosin phosphate is less absorbed. Once absorbed, tylosin distributes widely within the body. Organ concentrations following injection are 2-3 times higher than those after oral administration but do not easily penetrate cerebrospinal fluid.
[Drug Interaction] (1) It is inappropriate to be used simultaneously with other macrolides, lincosamides, and amide alcohols due to the same target site of action.
(2) When used together with β-lactams, it exhibits an antagonistic effect.
